Lexicon

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 20, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 20, 2026

Lexicon (“Lexicon,” “we,” “us,” or “the app”) is an LSAT preparation app operated by its developer, Phineas Pambianchi. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Lexicon, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and the email address associated with that sign-in (which, in the case of Sign in with Apple, may be a private relay address). We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.

Profile and study preferences

During onboarding and in the app you may provide information such as your target LSAT score, intended test date, schools of interest, prior preparation experience, study focus areas, daily goals, and reminder preferences. This information is used to personalize your study experience.

Practice and performance data

As you use Lexicon, we collect data about your practice activity, including questions attempted, answers selected, correctness, question types and difficulty, recurring error patterns, diagnostic results, score estimates, streaks, and session history. This is the core data that powers your progress tracking and recommendations.

AI coach conversations

When you interact with the in-app AI coach (“Lex”), the messages you send and relevant context about your practice performance are processed in order to generate responses. These conversations are stored so your sessions can be resumed and so the coach can reference your history. See AI Processing below.

Subscription information

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status. We receive your subscription tier, status, and renewal/expiration dates. We never receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple.

Device and technical data

We collect a limited amount of technical information necessary to operate the app, such as a device identifier used for subscription management and basic diagnostic information needed to keep the app functioning reliably.

Information We Do Not Collect

Lexicon does not collect:

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

AI Processing

Lexicon uses artificial intelligence to power the Lex coach and to generate practice questions. To do this, certain content — including your coach messages and relevant practice context — is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it to generate responses. This content is used only to provide the feature you requested. It is not used to train AI models.

How We Use Your Information

How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the app, and only as needed to provide their service:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseDatabase hosting and account authentication
AnthropicAI processing for the Lex coach and question generation
RevenueCatSubscription management and verification
AppleApp distribution, payment processing, and Sign in with Apple
GoogleSign in with Google (only if you use that option)

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app, under Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your profile, practice history, and coach conversations from our systems. Some records may be retained for a limited period where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Subscription transaction records held by Apple are governed by Apple’s own policies.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any issue we become aware of.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise the core of these rights directly in the app, or by contacting us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA respectively. To make a request, contact us at the email address below.

Children’s Privacy

Lexicon is intended for users preparing for law school admission and is designed for users aged 17 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International Users

Lexicon is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
